Yale Divinity #InternationalSocietyforConsciousnessStudies (#ISCS) elected our associate of CONSCIOUSNESS movie- #CIHS Executive Dean #ThomasBrophy as New President of ISCS. #DeepakChopra and Thomas Brophy awarded ISCS founder #AllanCombs appreciation plaque. The next ISCS conference was announced will be at San Diego CIHS to expand the field of #consciousness studies and #ScienceOfConsciousness.

May 31 to June 2, 2019 International Society for Consciousness Studies (ISCS), “Consciousness and Spirit 2” conference was hosted by both #YaleDivinity, and The Graduate Institute (TGI).  CIHS co-sponsored. Friday evening Deepak Chopra gave well attended lectures in the historic main hall at Yale Divinity school.  Dr. Chopra, CIHS Distinguished Professor for Consciousness Studies and #Wellbeing, is a very active and supportive member of the Society. The ISCS is the largest and most prestigious society.  Membership includes many significant scholars and public intellectuals in the field including Allan Combs, Deepak Chopra, Stuart Hameroff, Jeffrey Mishlove, Stanley Krippner, Stephan Schwartz, Means Kafatos, Jeffery Martin, Paul Mills, Joe Subbiondo and many others. Founder and president of the SCS Allan Combs announced that he is retiring, nominated Thomas Brophy to be the new president of SCS, and Thomas Brophy was elected by the group. Thomas Brophy is now the new president of the ISCS.  At that time, Deepak Chopra came forward and awarded an appreciation plaque to Allan Combs, movingly saying he “stands on the shoulders of giants, including the likes of Allan Combs”. CIHS announced the next ISCS conference, probably June 2020, will be at San Diego / CIHS.  This will be excellent exposure for CIHS as a leader in the field of consciousness studies and science of consciousness.
